I had the ruger, was wayyyyy too heavy for my liking. If your okay with that then its the bet by far, if weight is an issue i really like the browning my dad has. Not near as heavy..with that said i sold my ruger to buy the herritage rough ryder "but i assume you are set on a semi-auto" i say browning

I have a Buckmark that I adore.

ETA: Check that Ruger. I'm betting that is the price on the composite frame MKII or it;s used. The full metal MK is quite a bit more expensive than the buckmark

Get the Ruger but get the 22/45 model. It has a grip that is exactly like a 1911. It also has a polymer frame and is really lightweight.

I believe I was shooting that S&W the other week and it jammed quite a bit. At least once every clip. Pretty frustrating.

Have owned a Sig 226 9mm for a while. Bought a .22lr barrel and slide for it, but haven't even shot it yet in 22 configuration. Should be fun, plus it has a modified magazine that will hold 15 instead of the usual 10.

What about the new Ruger SR22?

Anybody got one yet? I like the look of it and might end up with one.

Got a 22a like the one in your picture with 3 magazines and a good Nylon holster. Paid about $230 for the gun, mags about $15 each (I think), and the holster was about $35.

Sell it all for $250

Thats $45 bud, not counting tax. With tax all that shite cost $320 or so.

If you don't want it, no problem.

Like it just fine, just want something else and don't use it that often.

eta: just looked online, mags are $24.

Nice looking .22. I don't think I would ever spend more than that for a .22 though. Guy tried to sell me one for around $500 a year ago, I can't imagine paying that much for it.

I love revolvers and want a S&W model 617 with the 6" barrel and 10 shot capacity, but they cost $700.

Here is the one i want.

Are you really going to spend $1300 (plus the extra $$$ for the suppressor fee) for a 22 LR?

I have no personal experience w/ either the S&W 22A nor the Buckmark. I do have a Ruger Mark 1; it will always have a special spot in my heart as it was the first pistol I bought. Personally, I couldn't live w/ the looks of the 22A. I've always like the Buckmark and have heard good things about. The Ruger, either Mark 3 or 22/45, is a classic. The biggest drawback to the Ruger is breaking it down. Nevertheless, I could recommend either one, depending on which gun fits your hand best.

What about the new Ruger SR22 and the S&W M&P 15-22? Both look like good guns.

Ruger is coming out with the SR22. I've got the SR9mm & it's bad arse. Went to Academy today & they still haven't gotten any 22s in
