That's exactly what it is, but reviews I've read, state that its refined and improved over the P22.

I have the Ruger SR22 and I love it. Easy to take down and clean, accurate and fun to shoot. I've put about a thousand rounds through it and the only issues I have had were a few failure to feed. It happens every now and then when you get a weak round. It has enough power to eject the spent casing but doesnt blow the slide back enough to pick up the next round.(using cheap federal bulk ammo)

Can you shoot standard velocity ammo out of those things? I hate ear splitting high velocity shite.
