Yeah that Jalepeno Mayo is good stuff. I really like the Roast beef poboy at R&O's or Bear's and the Fried chicken/bacon/cheese poboy at Dempsey's. SHITE, now i'm hungry!!

Great question.

I made this Bacon Lettuce Avocado Fried Egg and Tomato sammich the other day that was unreal.

Best sandwich I ate outside the home was this:

4505 Meats Chicken Yum Yum Sandwich:

Cornmeal-breaded fried chicken with aioli, peppercress, and pickled vegetables, $10.

So good!!!

the fried oyster on Ledenheimer poboy, with homemade jalapeno tartar sauce i ate a few hours ago, was pretty high on the list.

I would go with a meatball po-boy for the first time at a place that had to coax the roaches in it was so hole in wall deep kind of place. It became like crack in its addictiveness.

Fathead's Saloon on the southside of Pittsburgh has some sandwiches (they call headwiches) that will blow your mind and make your tastebuds dance. I couldn't pick just one. Check out the menu and see for yourself...

I had the beef tenderloin sandwich at the Grist Mill in Gruene, Tx and it was awesome

Had a veal-cracklin hamburger at Urge Gastropub in California that was awesome too

Haven't tried it yet but it has to be the best. Next time in Atlanta this will be the first stop.

First thing that came to mind when I read your question was Darrel's Special.

Another favorite of mine is Calandro's Loaded Pastrami on Wheat.

Probably the fist Central muff I ever ate. Close second would be the first great oyster poboy.

tie between:

Wayne's special at Radosta's in old Metairie (veal parmesan poboy dressed)

or

the fried oyster poboy with honey mustard cole slaw, remoulade, and hot sauce from Stanley.

Sometimes I'll grill a 2 pack of Chris' Specialty Meat Ribeyes...I'll slice them up and put a few pieces on some Bunny white bread along with regular mayo, mustard, tomato, salt & pepper...This way you can have the best sandwich in the world IMO, for 2 or 3 days.
