Does Lou Holtz really hate LSU?

Today, ol' Lou read off the stats that LSU is 77th in total offense (actually 62nd) and 7th in scoring offense (actually 13th). Anyhow, he used this to illustrate that "LSU isn't very good on offense" and most of their points come from field goals and defense; "other teams have helped them a lot". Then also hammered in the point that LSU was basically lucky to beat Bama because they "missed" 4 field goals. Is this old coot really this senile, stupid, or is he really "anti-LSU". I mean, he all but picked UGA to win...I guess he didn't want to jinks the Dawgs.

Said the same things before Arkansas. He is a senile old man, he still believes his 2003 South Carolina team was better then the 2003 LSU team. A game LSU won 33-7.

Lou is still butt-hurt from the skull-drugging the Tigers gave his USCe teams. The irony is that it was his buddy Saban who coached LSU at that time.

Take it easy on poor 'ole Lou.
He talks out of every side of his mouth.

So he rags on LSU about only be good because of defense and field goals but Bama misses four and he says that is why they lost. Makes total sense. Don't pay attention to the commentators. We know how good we are and we know how good Bama is.

Any thread with Lou Holtz or ESPN in the title needs to be automatically whacked, IMO.

None of these idiots bring up that we typically have short drives due to the field position that our D/ST puts us in, and they all seem to look past the fact that we are one of the best red zone teams in the country.

I'd like to to see what all drives that started inside our own 30 yard line averaged and the points we scored from those drives. That compared to what the "best" offense is doing.

This is the same guy that picks Notre Dame to play for a national championship every year. Not some years, every year. I don't pay any attention to him.

Holtz was the sole vote against LSU in the final 2003-04 Coaches Poll, was he not?

Lou Holtz has singlehandedly destroyed more college football programs than any single person I can think of. I don't take anything he says seriously and it's pretty evident that his co-hosts don't either.
ESPN has a lot of hours of programming to fill. Take his opinion for what it's worth. Nothing.

That was just another Bama push for the BCSNCG.

As to Lou being controversial:
True, but at least his producers could feed him accurate information.
LSU leads the SEC in red zone offense, scoring 54 out of 58 times, 41 TDs, which is 9 more than the next closest team.
LSU leads the SEC in scoring, has the most TDs (of course) at 59, which I think means that the defense/special teams have scored 5 times.
We have 16 field goals, meaning we have scored 324 points on offensive touchdowns, 52 points on extra point kicks on
those TDs, and 48 points by field goals.
We have only punted 49 times this year and are 2nd in the conference in TOP.
I could go on, but you get the picture. Being controversial is not the same as just being ignorant.
I actually like Lou a lot of the time, but too many times he is just ignorant.
