Somebody lied to BRPD

That's the reason this thing has cranked up way beyond where it maybe should have ended.
Simple as that.
Looking at the video of evidence gathering from JJ's apt, they had about 15 bags of evidence just from his apt.
The BRPD vehicle was filled with other evidence bags.
The police have a a set of facts. When they interviewed the LSU 4 on Tuesday, some or all of those kids came in with stories that were in contradiction (not in a good way) to those facts.
Now the police have to go on a forensics hunt to prove their facts were correct in the beginning.
This has gone beyond second or simple battery and now will included obstruction of justice and perjury charges. Mark my words.
Never, ever lie to the police. Plain and simple.

Can't happen. They weren't under oath.

Very possible that you are correct, sir.
I think this entire situation is ridiculous, but the players in question should have been smarter, especially this close to the season opener. However, this could have easily happened at any other SEC school too.

No doubt people are lieing, I don't think anybody doubts this, I think there are large numbers of players fibbing to coach Miles and company to protect their boys backs, which is what makes it hard for Miles to dole out the discipline

Well, whatever it is called that is lying to investigators.
I don't know the legal terminology that well. I do know the investigators side rather well.

Absolutely. And it's entirely possible those other bags were from a search of the Marine's house that nobody knew about.
I'm not making any judgment calls here... just giving some insight into why this has blown up when the masses think it's just a bar fight.

I think the player's attorney would have been out front blocking this Apartment search if they were that worried about what they may find.
this is going to give the police the "we couldn't find any evidence that was consistent with the "victim's" story...so no charges or arrest will be made
"Case is now closed"
Hopefully this is how it will play out...
the Marine has 3 fractured vertebrae, so, the police have to at least act like they made every attempt to find the person that did this...though they probably know the kid brought this wrath on himself

No they'd never lie, he's a hero...
There is always three sides to any story. In this case, the side that got their arse wooped, the side that wooped their arses and then what really happened.

I work with criminal investigators every day. If I see the ball in the QB's hands, I know it was snapped. I don't have to have a representative from the team tell me definitively it was snapped.

Is it by any stretch possible that JJ's attorney WANTED his apt searched to CLEAR him??? I don't know ... just a random thought.
