Taking a northerner out for Mexican in Baton Rouge. Not sure why, but she requested it.

Any good places other than Serranos and La Caretta? Maybe something I've never heard of?

TIA!

I've heard good things about Coyote Blues and Mestizo's... I wouldn't take anyone to Serrano's.

Okay, at best.

Mi Padres, Coyote Blues and even Ninfa's are better options. Some might even say Mestizo's as well.

Serranos is not good Mexican. Find Afreaux for advice on Latin foods.

Ninfa's would be my choice. Quality food and service at a reasonable price.

Not a fan of Coyote Blues, but we'll try Ninfas. Thanks.

Mestizo = small portions and big prices. Not a good combo for Mexican IMO.

Mestizo's was better in their old location on Sherwood.

Ahuua's is not good. Try Mi Padre's or Superior Grill

How?

I notice a lot of Mestizo suggestions in here. I must admit, I'm not a fan of all their shredded seafood covered in cheese dishes. I know they have some other items, but so much of it is that stuff. I'm not personally a fan.

I'm sorry to hear that, dear.
I've never ventured past the Duck Quesadillas because I love them so much.
