Toms is a machine right now

After that disaster at the end of the players, David Toms is -6 through 12 holes in the first round at colonial. He's really playing good golf this year.

i wish i was playing that kind of golf. i think i was +6 after 12 on Webb yesterday

If he had made half of the short putts he missed at Sawgrass he would have won going away. But I agree, he's got it going.

He missed one putt under 5' at Sawgrass, and it was the one on the playoff hole.

He did make that clutch putt on the 72nd hole,but Toms himself acknowledged that his putter wasn't working as well as it should have been throughout the week.

he played great, hit clutch shots...he just missed a 4 footer. that isn't a disaster

does not compute....he made an awful lot of putts to position himself for the sunday run. the miss-hit fairway wood into the pond cost him as much as the sudden death lipout. so it geauxs.
