Why would we want USC to beat AU???

I would love to see AU win the SECCG and go on to the BCSNCG myself. AU winning the national championship would only show the nation that the SEC is the best conference in the country. After taking home the title 5 years in a row, who could argue with that? (Maybe it will give an SEC 1 loss team a bit of an edge in this jacked up BCS system we have)

We get to see Arky fans cry about missing the BCS.
We get to see Auburn fans cry after coming up short yet again in regards to a NC.
Spurrier finally gets USC a SEC football title.
We get to open the season with a win over the defending National Champions.

Wouldn't a USC win pretty much lock us into the Cotton Bowl? I think an Auburn win gives us a better shot at getting the Capital One Bowl. Seems like most fans are wanting the Cotton Bowl over the Capital One Bowl.....which would include me if we get to play Texas A&M.

auburn winning a nc isn't good for LSU. its doens't really matter though considering no matter what they do its going to be erased. id rather not have the embarrassment of a sec team having the title yanked from them. That will do more harm than anything to the conferences image

I for one hate the rest of the SEC and love to see them lose. I don't care what the media has to say. I'm an LSU fan. Not an SEC fan. I don't care what "we" are supposed to do. I form my own opinions.

This. Many people on here argued that a 1 loss LSU should jump over and undefeated Boise and TCU the past few weeks. If we get in the same situation next year, what helps us more,
1. the SEC winning another National Title, only strengthening our Conference
2. Not even playing, then listening to the experts say, I told you the SEC was not that strong.

Because there's no argument about best conference at this point...and I can't stand the way the arky fans behaved...I would LOVE to see them crying in their moonshine jugs after they had the rug pulled out from underneath their giant square dance celebration! They have not tasted a BCS bowl yet...It'd be great to see that streak stay alive!

All SEC teams should be cheering for AU, except for the Cocks. Another NC will just bring more money to the conference and all universities in the conference.

I agree with this post. Go Auburn! We got beat by the best team in the country, hands down.
