and it's taking the Yanks with them. Those fans filing out of Yankee Stadium are ridiculous.

I'm a fan of the Indians and anybody playing the Yankees.

I take the Indians in AL and Rockies in the NL.

Don't get me wrong, I want the Rangers to win this series, and the whole thing at this point. I love the way that team plays, and Nolan Ryan taking over really spiked my interest since his is a fellow hard-working South Texan.

That said...this series is showing how piss-poor Yanks fans are. All of a sudden the radios are filled with people calling in supporting Texas...which is sounding weirder to me by the minute.

I picked the Rangers as my team to cheer for when the playoffs started. I'll happily be considered a bandwagoner.

Even if I did pick the Yankees to win it all in the MSB contest.

With the cowboys struggling this year, I'm sure all of DFW is on the Rangers bandwagon.

I have been a rangers fan my whole life. I dont mind the band wagoners at all. I can see how people could get behind this team. They are fun to watch. Even my wife likes to watch them and she cares nothing about sports. (She actually sat through all of games two and three with me). It just looks like they are having fun. Even when the game is close they seem relaxed and smiling and joking.

This team has character. The antlers and claw thing is oringinal and adds to the character. Could you ever imagine the Yankees doing something like this? The Yanks are so serious and stoic, it is like night and day.

And this ownership group is fun to watch and you want to go out and buy a hat or shirt just to support their effort. I have been to several games this year and Nolan Ryan and Chuck Greenberg just know how to make the fans around their seats and around the stadium feel good. Greenberg is out talking to fans, Nolan will give an autograph when asked, not many do, and having Nolan Ryan and Chuck Greenberg really brings class and a sense of knowledge of how to build this and keep it going. Finally, with Nolan, John Daniel at GM and Ron Washington who is a baseball lifer and old school it has become about pitching and defense and then hitting. Washington makes some strange pitching decisions but he is humble, admits his mistakes and wears his emotion on his sleeve that rubs off on the players. He will call a player out privately but not disrespect him in the press. But he will say somebody didn't get it done today or he didn't get it done today but then moves on. His players love playing for him.

The key is ownership, I agree.

It's tough to stick with teams that have shitty owners ::cough cough:: Cleveland.

I've met Nolan a few times, he is a class act. He is a baseball guy to the core, and wants nothing but wins for this team. I think money is secondary, or at least it appears that way.

As for bandwagon fans...they can be good or bad. I think it's good for the Rangers exposure right now, just as I think it was good for the Saints faith train the past few years. But the problem is when bandwagon fans won't admit it.

yea the rangers fans have been getting ridiculous with some of the bandwagoning going on. and you're not a bandwagon jumper if you pay upwards of $100 to watch your team lose by 8 and 7 runs too nights in row and leave early. you're a passionate fan that is disgusted with what is happening on the field. half the rangers fans on here and around louisiana havent even been to a game.

Me too. I've always rooted for the Rangers in the American league and always want them to do well unless they play the stros.

The enemy of my enemy is my Ally.

Suck it Yanks.

Even with this, the Cubs are the odd one out. The Sawx and Saints bandwaggoners disgust me, because they butcher names, know nothing about the team, but will still talk enormous amounts of shite.

been a life long ranger fan. I dont get a chance to go to games living in baton rouge but i grew up south of arlington and went to a lot of games over the years. let the bandwagon fans come they do in any sport when a team starts winning.
