will be there for a week long meeting in september...will b taking people to dinner for 5 nights...........i know its a long shot (and will be bumping for the time-being), but gimme some suggestions..........

Via Matta for Italian, near the public Garden
Radius
No. 9 Park
Clio - not far from where you're staying and very good.

jr, I was there a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed Union Oyster House.. Some people call it a tourist place, but, lots of locals were there. It's the oldest restraunt in America, and has some really neat stuff on the wall, and the old building is interesting to walk around in.. Great raw bar,,,Otis reccomended to me, and I enjoyed...

Stay away from Legal Sea Foods.

Doyle's Cafe in I think the Jamaica Plain's area. Best clam chowder I've ever had. It's out there though might be too inconvenient.

Lookin @

Union Oyster House if someone wants seafood.

Clio, Radius, and Craigie look good.

Im gonna do a little lookin on some Boston dining sites.....anyone have a steakhouse recommendation?

"Al Dente" was suggested in the thread, but the menu boasts this comment which always worries me if they actually have to put it on the menu:
