I am planning a trip for about 50 people on a bus. We are looking for a nice place that has a live band and serves crawfish. Preferably outside of Lafayette, but those suggestions are welcome too.

Thanks

Thanks. Mid 20's grad school crowd, maybe a little more excitement.

Randall's does boiled crawfish, cajun music, and tour buses. Not my favorite restaurant, but it is good. In Lafayette on Kaliste Saloom, five or ten minutes off Hwy 90.

Prejean's would be your best bet.

Crawfish Town is damn good. Don't know about a band though. But I'd give them a call.

DAMN strong crawfish (get the hottest flavor, they're the best)

Stay AWAY from Randol's, worst restaurant/tourist trap in Lafayette.

Prejeans is good for your requirements.

Well, I like Randol's. It's only open at night, though, but it's a hoot with the Cajun band and the dancing. I had some darn good crawfish bisque there as well as the gumbo. Nice dark rouxs. They do a very good soft shell crab as well. I've eaten there quite a few times and most of the folks I see there are locals who are there to do the 2-step with the band. I've not had the boiled crawfish there, but I've seen plenty of folks being served crawfish and crabs. Check the nights they are open, however, for your purposes.

I don't believe Prejean's serves boiled crawfish, so you should call and check that out.

Every time I have gone, it has sucked. Food comes out cold and they forget things you ask for. It was quite an adventure the last time we went. If they could get it right, they would have a decent place.
