My life goal is to retire to a Mexican beach village but I do love mountain cabins.
I lost the ability to swim in the ocean too so I think I would choose mountain now.

Living so close to the gulf coast most of my life... I am going with mountain house. Easily

Mountain…unlikely to get wiped out by a hurricane in Colorado.

Mountain house near a small lake or creek.

I split time between Florida and Colorado. I worry about my house in Florida way more. From an ownership perspective I think a beach house is way overrated. As for activities I lean towards the mountains as well. I like aspects of both, but if I had to chose I’d live in a mountain town and vacation in a beach resort town.

Mountain house if proximity is same. However, I’d have to fly to the closest mountains.

If money wasn’t an issue I’d buy one of those mansions in Key Biscayne that overlook the bay to downtown Miami
Even if money was no object, I’d want to be far away from Miami. I spend much of the year in South Florida and I hate Miami.

I
100% agree with this, but it did snow yesterday and we’re supposed to get a few inches tomorrow in Colorado.

Mountain.
I want little to do with beaches, unless its isolated and rocky.

Both.
I highly recommend it.

I’m not a mountain person
Definitely something on the coast
Wouldn’t mind both though
Same. Love the coast/marsh but I’d definitely take a house in Beaver Creek or Aspen

Why do you hate it?

It's my dream to one day own a unit at the Portofino on Pensacola Beach
Mountains are fun too though. Really enjoy nature's views.

Beach House.... Baby... Beach House...
When you live as far inland as Memphis You can't wait to get to the Redneck Rivera every summer.

Beach and it’s not even close

I would have said beach when I was younger, but as I get older I would have to pick mountain.

Beach condo and it isn't even close. I would supplement that with an off-road capable travel trailer to take up into the mountains when the urge hit.
