Since Kirby they’ve upgraded everything to be best in the country. Most of it with money. Now it requires more money, out in the open, from everyone.
There’s just no mystique and recipe for success and effort and challenge and satisfaction anymore. it’s just a money equation.

Pretty much...see also European soccer.
I think baseball gets away with it because there's so much more variability in the sport. But yeah the other leagues have salary caps for a VERY good reason
