Not enough elite football recruits in Arkansas and it's way more expensive to field a top football team than basketball. We're never winning a championship again in football.

I'd rather concentrate donor money in basketball where we can actually win something than try to do something in football and risk wearing donors out/taking money away from basketball.

we’re not going to win one in the next 10 years but I don’t think never winning one again is necessarily true. All it takes is putting 2 or 3 years of 8:9 win seasons to change the outlook of your program followed by 2/3 10 win seasons followed by a 12 win season in the next couple years and next thing you know you’re a perennial top 15 team that kids have seen ranked and winning the last decade. We were on our way the last time bobby was here and you see the same thing happening currently at ole miss. It’s not that it’s impossible to win at football it just takes a lot longer due to roster depth needs and roster turnover. But what it will require is us hiring a really good coach, which means we will probably just have to get lucky and have a really good young one fall into our lap.
