Just to be frank, Cabs, especially American ones, have gotten outrageously expensive.

So I would say that for 20 bucks its certainly not a bad value.

Look at places like Argentina and Chile who are producing some excellent value, as well as Australia . Also some Italian Super Tuscans that are primarily Cab based can sometimes be good value (although a lot of STs have gotten outrageous too). South Africa too (although I like pinotage from SF).

I think Mascota Vineyards out of Argentina makes a nice cab in the 20s

True Myth out of Paso Robles in Cali makes a real affordable one

If you like Cab, you might love an Australian Shiraz, both Penfolds and Mollydooker make some excellent ones at various price points.

At a higher price point but EXCELLENT Quality Price Ratio, Le Petit Clos Clos Apalta is a chilean wine made in a bordeaux blend style that is really great for a 50ish dollar bottle. Probably decant that one

After reading the posts Iam drinking some Bonanza. A good wine for the price. A little young tasting and so say more sugar than a lot but alot better than other $20-$30 bottles. It’s a no-vintage blend of different cabs but for those of us who aren’t snobs and like not being ripped off but also like a good wine, this is something worth having again. I’d say a 6 in scale of 0-10.

To return the favor I had some Franks Family Cab last weeKen that was real good. And I think I say it for about 2x the price of Bonanza and at $45 a bittke I’d say that was an 8.5.

Quilt Cab is pretty damn good. Had a bottle with dinner at a steakhouse tonight.

Quilt is extremely similar to Caymus but at a lower pricepoint.

If you like those type of huge steakhouse cabs, I would do that one over Caymus.

I drink too much to spend so much on small bottles. Think cheap, drink cheap.

If you are a Costco member try one of the Kirkland Signature cabs. I've had a few that were decent and were less than $20.

One of my favorites that's cheap is Wines of Substance "CS". Washington State wine.

I like quilt purely for the twist top. Also, if I buy it at Sam's club I don't consider it spending money on wine because it's just part of my normal grocery run

By far the best Kirkland's wine is when they have a Gigondas. Honestly excellent wine for the price and perfect example of the region. They only have it occasionally though.

Why would anyone drink Cab after February? Heathens.

I let my son pick one wine from my wine cellar for his February 32nd birthday. He picked a 2018 Colgin IX. I didn't give him a price limit. Definitely the best bottle I've had lately. Thanks goodness I have 8 more bottles of Colgin wine
