Insurance companies are racist, get rid of them. The government will assist you if you need help. Trust the government.

There are certain professions that need entrance exams. This is bullshite. It’s obvious plenty of incompetent people are still making it through, this will be much worse.

It should still be offered and then people can choose if they want an attorney who passed the bar to represent them or not.
Like a board certification in medicine you would have a bar certification.

So, does this mean out of state lawyers could move there and practice without taking another bar exam? Because, if so, this would make Washington an even more attractive option for workers than it already is.

I wished they’d just come out and say “listen, minorities are dumb as shite, ok?” instead of beating around the bush constantly.

Legal malpractice lawyers finna eat
I saw a recent federal court filing where an Esquire missed his deadline on a response to a 12b(8) motion because he “lost” the email. Federal judge dismissed. All well after the same attorney made a smear campaign through the media on the Defendants during time of filing.

If idiots want to hire other idiots who have no malpractice insurance to represent them, who are we to stand in their way?

Bar exams are kind of irrelevant when it comes to measuring competency to practice law.
And, throughout history there have been other standards for ensuring competency, such as an apprenticeship, or graduating from an accredited law school.
Bar exams became mandatory I. The South after the accredited law schools were integrated, so in that way they were racist.
I haven't read the Washington opinion, but sounds like they are saying there should be other ways to measure competency.

Sounds like a large influx of legal giants like Fanni is on the horizon.
Just wait till they start doing this with doctors and structural engineers.

Evidently white people have too high of standards.

How are they irrelevant? explain.
Do you practice?
Do you practice?

I mean, I'm not sure it's even minimally effective.
My solution would be to make it a lot harder, but I guess I'm a racist as well.

I can tell you the CPA exam is rather hard, and we still have PLENTY of incompetent CPAs out there.
It takes 5 years of experience, in my opinion, before a CPA is even marginally competent.

No one has argued the bar is a fool proof way to cut morons out of the profession. It is a barrier for entry for people who cannot grasp the basic fundamentals of a number of basic practice areas. It is not asking you to master these areas - just enough to pass essay or multiple choice questions.
