I think Coach Saban was a little naive thinking he could help keep the roster together after his announcement. I think this has been a big surprise to him.

Or maybe it didn’t even enter his thoughts, and he was like “I have given these people my all for 17 years, I’m going to the house and it’s not my problem anymore?”
