The Big10 and SEC are destined to get to 20 teams each. The SEC needs four and Big10 needs two.

Option 1: FSU, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia Tech
Option 2 FSU, Clemson, Oklahoma State, NC State

I can’t imagine a scenario where the sec brings in fsu without Clemson. I’d imagine they would rather snatch them up before the Big10.

VT feels like a Big10 natural fit. OK State feels like a SEC fit. Honestly even North Carolina feels like a Big10 school too.

Da hell? I get they’re an Ag school and fit with some. But to me they’re a solid Big XII fit with new adds of BYU Arizona Arizona St Utah.

Nope just kick Vandy for FSU and call it. No one cares about academics and Vandy doesn't even try at football or basketball anymore.

It'll be interesting to see what the SEC does in Florida and South Carolina.

Sankey has said in the past that he doesn't plan on pursuing FSU or Clemson because they don't add to the SEC footprint.

Might have changed by now considering the current landscape.

Eta: My prediction is that Sankey changes his mind to not lose FSU and Clemson to the B10.

There is no more need to expand because the 12-team playoff kills that.

It's amazing how dumb these ADs are when the best move for FSU or anyone in the Big12 or ACC is to stay there and get easier paths for the 12 spots.

We have already seen the country is full of stupid people who would gladly pick a team who played a very weak schedule over two who played much harder ones with only one loss.

So it's obvious the best scenario is to stay in a weak conference and get the easy path. Even with one loss you could argue against the two loss teams from the B1G and SEC using the same moronic logic of "better record" that they use every November and December.

Regionalism is over.

Its all gonna be corporate under one umbrella. The South lost again and they don't even know it. Swallowed up whole by greed, ESPN, you name it...Devil went down to Georgia and took their soul that was for sale.

TCU is solid across most sports and would give the SEC a presence in the 3rd largest media market in the country.

Maybe you should go look at some of the hundreds of other threads that have discussed all these scenarios ad nauseam……..

If they ever got somewhat good again, that’d be a fun atmosphere for an SEC road game

I'd like to go back to East/West divisions and add Clemson, FSU, NC St, and VT. Then I'd move Mizzou and Vandy to the West.

take option 1. make them a pod with old ACC South Carolina. All old ACC teams. Then continue to make it old regional

old SECEast - Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, Vandy, Tennessee

old SEC - LSU, Ole miss, MSU, Auburn, Alabama

then old B12. - OU, UT, Arky, aTm, Missouri

The SEC was dead when they let Texas and OK in anyway.

12 was the ideal conference number.

Apparently, tv networks demand two conferences for some asinine reason.

If both conferences go to 20,

The SEC should take Florida St, Clemson, and North Carolina. The 4th team could legitimately be any one of the following: Duke, NC St, Miami, Louisville, Georgia Tech.

The Big 10 should add Notre Dame and Virginia Tech.

Bring in Florida state and then also Kansas, North Carolina and Duke to corner the basketball market as well.

I would rather see contraction than expansion.

Even as a Poke, I see no reason why the SEC would want OK State.
