Anyone have one they like? Price point seems to be all over the place. Mostly looking to spot hogs and varmint witching 2-300yds. Need to make sure I’m not about to smoke a cow, horse or neighbors dog.

I have a Thermion 2 XP50 and it’s pretty decent.

Pulsar makes great thermals.
That said, night vision is probably better at positive identification than thermal.

I think my gun and scope combo would weight 50 pounds if i added that thing lol. Also looking for a spotter ATM. Something to give me some contrast and an added layer of ID with my IR scope. The IR is great but sometimes the light in brush doesn't give a great ID so i'm looking for something to supplement.

You are looking for a monocular/scanner, not a "spotting scope".
Axion is Pulsar's compact handheld monocular. I owned the Axion 2 XG35. That is a good choice or the more budget friendly axion 2 XQ35.
I currently own the telos XP50 and it's the shite.

Best one is a AGM 19 Tiapan.

I’m seeing mixed reviews on agm. I do know the micro is a worthless piece of shite. It not sure about the higher models.

I have a question and it’s probably a dumb one.
For a monocular, would thermal or night vision be better?
I have a new thermal scope. Only hunted once with it last week and I was thinking about that.
What would be better if you have a thermal scope?

Main benefit to night vision is if it’s helmet mounted for driving with the lights off. Being able to look through glass is main benefit to NV (in my opinion FWIW).
Give me thermal monocular 10 times out of 10.

I dont think so. I could not tell a deer from a man or dog at 150 yards, only knew by movement. Thats what the op wanted. Surely there are some out there that blow the agm out of the water on image quality

Night vision lets you scan with the windows up, and the heater going. Outside of that, thermal. But I do miss the view from a 1/4 moon treed landscape with a quality 3rd gen.

My EOTECH has a NV mode...what mono do you guys recommend? I'd like to strap it to my head.
Purpose: Stalking sounders of pigs to wipe them out.
Budget: cheap, spent all my money on an EOTECH
Sorry to hijack this thread
TIA
