This is not a bad team. I saw some great stuff in the first half.

The reality is, it’s way too early to make predictions on anything. We just have to hope that this was a fluke. Any alternative kind of sucks

On offense I think our early scheme looked great. We still need to find a RB who wants to be "that guy"

I completely disagree on this. To start the game on the first drive it looked good. But the rest of the game the scheme was not great especially in the second half.

There was no creativity in the run game (outside a few QB draws) it was just zone. We did not call plays that fit Daniels skill set, we tried to turn him into a pocket passer which he is not. There were some misses by Daniels in terms of reads and Passes but we consistently were calling plays that do not fit his strengths. Calling max protect pass plays (7-8 man protection) with 2-3 receivers out on routes should not happen with Daniels at QB. Thats directly on scheme and play calling.

Again, the first drive and motion with Aaron Anderson was good but all of that disappeared and essentially just became a quick passing attack with zone mixed in.

How many times can LSU expect some old Burrow footage to nationally negate losing laughably in our first game? UCLA was bad, FSU 1 was bad, FSU 2 was REALLY bad. Do you need a loss to USC in Las Vegas on ESPN in prime time next year to keep driving us off the cliff? Or would you rather maybe a tune up vs a cupcake like everyone else in our conference seems to get? I'm old enough to remember getting embarrassed in Lambeau vs Wisconsin in 2016. It isn't a good look. Ask Les Miles.

I'm old enough to remember getting embarrassed in Lambeau???? really thats the example you use.

We were embarassed way back in like 2002 by Virginia Tech... the program went on.

How about the loss to Troy...

Maybe you could talk about the loss to Iowa in the Capital One Bowl?

But you instead chose a game that was like 7 years ago.... one that didn't at all ruin the brand since a few short years later we would win a title with a shrimp boat captain.

Punt/kick off returns is still an utter disaster . Why can't we get it right?

Good take, also JD needs to throw to the receivers down field

What receivers downfield?

Defensive backs are clearly our biggest issue (like most thought before the game)

Are they? They were asked to cover a 6’4 and a 6’7 receiver with ZERO pass rush. How ANYONE can shite on them is beyond me

DBs can’t be fixed

Less zone coverage and a better pass rush can go a long way to mask the problem.

Mmmm....along with an O Line that can't run block....along with special-teams issues....along with WRs who can't catch.....along with a coaching staff who looked as if they thought they would be penalized for making half-time adjustments

Sorry....I don't share your optimism....

Do we have a Special Teams coordinator? It is a running joke back there. Even the announcers made a comment "at least he caught it."

Pretty fair take IMO

one other issue I noticed. In the 2nd H, FSU had no problems making 1:1 tackles on D. Meanwhile, it took 2-4 LSU defenders to bring FSU down. The lack of effort tackling on D in the 2nd H is a concern.

Huge disparity in 3rd & 4th down. Just like last year, our D couldn’t get off the field. I think our D got worn out in 2nd H when our O stalled out.

I would disagree that there was “zero pass rush”. A couple times Travis made throws right as or right before getting hit. Travis did a good job of scrambling away from pressure & making throws. Our DL will be better with Maason Smith.
