Worked in one out of college. Did everything from dealer, to pit, to front office.
When I was on the floor I started on nights and weekends. Tons of drunks. The worst was the people that obviously couldn’t afford to be there and would hit the daily minimum to get the free “gift” and get their voucher for it. Hyenas.
When I was a fresh dealer one guy who would always come in stacked his bet after he had winning hand and I was paying out other players. I thought he had bc he had been betting the minimums but didn’t want to lose control of my table. So the next time he won I’d make it point to catch him and call him out. I did and said “you can either take your bet back or I can call the cameras” he took it back and never tried shite with me ever again.
Loved the people I worked on the floor with, it attracts a certain type of person. Once I got to the front office I realized a lot of those people had issues and were cheating the casino themselves.

some guy blew his brains out all over the balcony because he lost everything per the head maintenance guy there. You didn’t hear about it on KPLC because it would have been PR nightmare. I felt sorry for those Latina cleaning ladies.
Happens pretty frequently in Vegas. Casinos and city do a pretty good job keeping it under wraps. Last one I remember, guest complained of hearing a gunshot in the hallway. Metro and security rushed up, didn't find anything or see anything on camera.
Ended up doing a wellness check on guest in a room. Door was dead bolted . They had to knock it down. Dude shot himself.

I saw a woman get maced once in Vegas. I was playing poker really late one night at the Venetian, maybe like 2-3 am something like that. And a guy at another table got ejected for verbally berating the dealers. It must have been pretty bad because they let you blow off steam once in awhile and they warn you if you cross lines so it must have been going on awhile. It's very rare to actually see some get ejected for that. Some 50+ year old arabish looking guy if I recall
Security came to escort him out and his woman was there with him and she was holding a container of like left over food or something. He cashed out his chips and then they exited the poker room and when they were a few yards away the woman and security guard must have been jawing because she turned and threw the container of food at him.
He immediately shoved her to the ground, straddled her, and just maced her within seconds. She was crying and moaning and the dude who got ejected did the smart thing and just stood there doing nothing but watched.

I worked with a woman who used to be a cocktail waitress at one of the BR boats. She said she kept a bottle of Visine with her and would squirt it in drinks of the people who got out of hand. Supposedly it makes you violently ill.
Friends of mine and I used to love going to the worst casinos on the MS gulf coast and play $2 blackjack during the day against new dealers. We didn’t outright cheat per de but they were easy to take advantage of. When you had a complicated losing hand and the dealer was trying to count it, you could tap the felt like the dealer does to signal a push and sometimes they’d just go along. One time a shoe was running very hot and the cut card came out. The dealer gave me the card and I put it in my lap. After a couple more hands with good cards, I showed it to the dealer and apologized for being an idiot. She was pissed but I guess she didn’t want to let the bosses know she lost control of her table so she didn’t do anything. Good times.

My SIL was a dealer at Paragon.
People would ask her if she had any tips.
She would tell them "Go Home."

I have a few from my days as a valet at casino rouge:
1) lady won an award because she was there something like 325 days in the calendar year
2) asked a guy (regular) how he did one night. He said he lost $75. I said not bad… he then said grand. I never asked again. I doubt it was real but he won big several times and would always tip $100 when he won.
3) worked a graveyard Christmas night. About 300am on 12/26 a guy walked up and asked what day it was. I told him and he asked if he missed Christmas. I said yeah… he said his wife was gonna kill him.
Sure I can name more. It was crazy how many people came 3+ times a week. It is bad when you memorize license plates.

Doubt the dealer posts here but I was blasted at the horseshoe one night and up a few grand and the dealer kept telling me to cash out and walk away. I wouldn’t listen so she had me thrown out. I wish I could thank her.

I’ve played a lot of poker over the years and there is only one guy that truly scared me, started muttering to himself about Jesus hating him when he got unlucky in a hand a few times. Something off about the guy, I was worried he was going to shoot up the place at some point.

My cousin used to deal at the treasure chest a very long time ago. Was set to deal for a couple VIPs one night. It was Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. They walked into the room and said the would have to have a black dealer or they would not play. Eventually got their way

The last time I ever set foot in the Belle of BR was right before L'Auberge opened. I was playing a table game and a full-out brawl erupted right over my shoulder. I think it was over a woman. And yes BooBoo, it was them again.
Security was on top of it within seconds and quelled what could have been a rough situation.
My favorite part was seeing all of the dealers almost simultaneously put the cover over the chip rack at the first sign of all hell breaking loose I guess that was covered in Chapter 1, page 1 at Dealer School.

Went on a trip out west as a teenager as part of a move by my friends dad for his job.
We were from a small town and hadn’t seen much of the country so Vegas itself was a big deal.
First night there this drunk guy starts swimming in one of the fountains.
Big crowd forms and the police reluctantly wade out toward him. Dude of course starts running away to other parts of the fountain. Ended up taking five officers getting wet to corner this guy and get him down.

Word.
Casinos aren’t in business to watch their money walk out the door.

Cancerous place to work . Trust me .

Never worked at one, but my best friend and his girlfriend did. Him and his girlfriend got in a huge argument there.
Long story short, I lost my Id and borrowed my friends ID to go clubbing. I didn't expect to get I'D at the casino stop, but I pulled it out and was banned from there even though I was really 25 at the time.

I worked at the Rouge back in the day. The biggest thing that went on was a huge crap sting. I was in craps school learning to deal craps and on a random Friday night, they arrested like 15 dealers for pulling the scam. I'm talking 8 PM on a Friday when it was packed. I was dealing Blackjack that night, but cops came up behind dealers on the tables and asked them to put their hands behind their backs and escorted them out of the casino. Crazy night.

I could never decide between Nikki, Molly or Vanessa. But if I was a high roller, I would have bought all 3.
