Mel Brooks tells a story from his time in the war.
He could hear a German camp nearby singing their songs before bedtime.
He picked up a megaphone and belted out a version of "Toot Toot Tootsie, Goodbye" that had the Germans cheering, laughing, and applauding in response when he finished.
He added, "I could have ended the war right there."

Thanks Mel for all the laughs.. Happy Birthday.
I always heard that he was in the signal Corp and would play Jewish artists over a PA System towards the germans... guess I need to research it.

I'm sorry. Perhaps you've never heard of one the most annoying features of modern technology: frickING AUTOCORRECT.
Fortunately, for the more visually inclined, someone else posted a pic of Miss Stein just a few posts after my comment. Enjoy your evening and Miss Stein's fabulous rack.

I did not notice it the first 100 times I saw that movie. In this scene, he tries to put his pen back in the holder and misses 3/4 times. Hedley Lamar leans over and says,”..imagine it is your secretary.” Pen goes right in on the next try. Mel Brooks is a genius with details and subtleties.
