Help me pick out a new gun.

I’m looking to spend around $1500 at Cabela’s or Bass Pro because I’ve got $1000 in points, $250 gift cards, and $75.00 off coupon. With that being said they have a shitty selection on firearms so I’m kinda stuck on what to get.
At first I thought I wanted a bolt action rifle because I’ve got a brand new Zeiss Z6 that I can throw on it but I’m only interested in 28 Nosler or 6.8 Western at this time. They don’t seem to have too many options that grab my attention. I’ve got 3 custom bolt guns and I’ll probably just save the glass for a new custom vs buying something that I wouldn’t grab before one of my customs.
Then I started leaning towards a fun gun, something like an AR pistol with an sig brace in .300 BLK, but they don’t have any AR pistols at Bass Pro or Cabela’s.
I finally found a .300 BLK today but it’s a Black Rain Ordnance 16.5 inch barrel for $1499. I know nothing about BRO but they look a little gimmicky and I feel like the $1500 is a little much for their Mil-Spec 15 AR.
Does anyone have a BRO or ever shot one? Also am I crazy for wanting a .300 black out? I shot my brothers with sub sonic ammo with a suppressor and it was a blast to shoot.
I’m also looking at getting HS515GM Holosun red dot for it.

Inb4 recoil.
Because it always gets mentioned in gun threads LOL.
Get a lever action and run through the house on Christmas morning like Ralphie.

Had a 300blk for awhile and it just never really impressed me personally. Shooting subs with a can is cool but not really practical for me in a hunting situation. I roll my own and worked up a few decent loads for it but was just never my cup of tea. For $1500 I would be interested in looking into a CMMG Banshee chambered in 10mm. I think with a can attached it would be really fun to shoot and would just be something different than the norm.

I wandered around cabela's with an out of town friend for over an hour a few years ago... he had a $100 gift card.
He finally said, "Let's go."
Seriously? Too damn tight to spend $100 of his brother's money.
Good luck with your gun selection, Rize. And Merry Christmas to the OB!

Sig Cross in 308 and shoot subsonic ammo.
I know you don't want a bolt gun, but it's a cool little gun.
ETA: I've always wanted a mini14 in 300 blackout. Just seems like it'd be an awesome pig shooter.

Not sure if you have any interest in a shotgun, but the next completely impractical purchase I’ll be making with those kind of gift cards is a browning sweet 16 A5. It will get used once a year, opening day of dove season, but mfers won’t be asking to bum a box of shells.

I’d get the BRO if you don’t have an AR Another option is this: S&W 686 ETA: if you don’t have a 1911, you absolutely need one. It’s like holding the right hand of the Lord.
I’ve got an Sig Scorpion 1911, Springfield Range office 9mm 1911, custom STI 10mm 1911, custom STI .45 1911 and a Lama
I’ve got 6 AR’s ranging from:
3 5.56
1 .308
1 6.8 SPC II
1 .300 win mag
No .300 black out yet.

I'd look for stuff in the gun library. They will deal on the used guns too.
Usually they are overpriced since they price everything like it is desirable and mint but if you do find something desirable and mint the price is probably pretty close to accurate. Given that you have funny money to spend even if something is overpriced it might be of value to you. Every now and then they slip up and price something under market too.

X bolt in 28 nosler would be hard to pass up IMO
