Doesn’t bass pro sell tikka? I would pass on the 300 blackout it’s ballistics arent the best for hunting, and the rounds are expensive. A 6.8 SPC or Grendel would be better. Not sure if that’s available at bass pro. I just got a Tikka t1x 22LR and it’s nice.

I’ve got a Wilson Combat 6.8 SPC II and a tikka rifle in .308.

Look at a beretta or browning o/u though you will probably have to throw in some more cash. It will give you a clay/ dove/ upland gun.

Second this. Go hold a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I 20 ga. and see if you don’t walk out with it.

Or those old school camo Wicked Wings Browning Sweet 16’s look real nice, Clark.

Go get a Ruger Blackhawk 44 mag and have a good scope mounted. It’s a great feeling every time I squeeze a 300 grain hand load off on a doe. Good times.

Out west, the cool kids buy a Tikka .223, put a good scope on it, and shoot it ALOT.

I like that approach. Shoot more, shoot better.

Nothing wrong with a 300 blk. Perfectly fine for hunting inside 200 with supers or inside 100 with subs with the right projectiles.

I’ve got a heavy barrel 22/250 that’s a blast to shoot.

Maybe it's time to stop buying guns and start buying hunting trips

I’ve got a .357.

Get a .357 Winchester 92 to go with it.

Also, an M1A / M1A Scout / Socom in .308 is the tits for 1500.

are you good on ammo ? I'd do an inventory of your current ammo and buy 2-3 boxes of the cartridges/rifles you shoot the most. Ammo prices ain't going down, as $50 for a 20 rd box today will be $60+ by next hunting season. Even if you spend $500 on ammo you'll be ahead of the game for future shooting.

I have a Bergara Wilderness Ridge in .28 Nosler that’s a laser beam. Only problem is ammo is as rare as unicorn tears.

Don’t get a 16” 300BO. You’re really no better off than with an 8”. The powder burn rate is designed to burn off within 8 inches.

Look online at the gun library as others have said. If you find something at another location they will ship it to your local store usually for free. They have some nice stuff in the library and sometimes you can find a deal.
