FSU gave us a sideline TV reporter though

for any of you who oppose this, you are fricking idiots.
Here's what does not matter at all:
-weird fanbase
-positives/negatives of college town
-tailgating
-academics
-winning record
-win % against ________
and what does matter to all of us, especially in the west:
-$$$$$$$
-Recruiting
-You will be playing every other year in the state of Texas
that's it, that's all you need, that's all this about - this is great thing

FSU and Miami do it!
For real. Their yearly games with Florida would count as conference games. And those schools would add to the strength of the SEC.
If AU and UA can be successful out of the same state, then those Florida schools can too. If not, oh well.

preach it crimsonsaint. quit whining about recruiting and just go recruit! fun trips and tradition matter to me the fan. revenue is for slive to worry about. do not care to fly to college station but LSU would want them. give me fsu and miami.

I'm not too crazy about the expansion of the conference. But it is something I'm going to have to get use to and I will. If we are going to add a team, aTm isn't a bad team to get. I'd also like to see us pull in FSU if we pull in aTm.

I wished they would get this shite figured out.

The only issue I have with this that before I die I plan on going to every SEC stadium.. I thought Arky and LSU would be a long trip. Good Lord for A&M.

Yeah, that drive will suck.

Closest game is LSU.
364 miles/6 hour drive.

Yeah I figured if/when I ever make it out to LSU/Arky I'm flying. Drove 9 hours to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl a few years back and that was rough.
Posted on 8/11/11 at 9:10 pm to Uncle Stu
You are the idiot if you believe your reasons are persuasive to Arkansas. We already play every year in Texas and get a lot of $$$$ doing so. Adding aTm to the conference will more than likely hurt recruiting more than help it (I don't believe it will have an impact In recruiting at all).
BTW, College Station sucks.

This is all smoke being blown by the Aggies. I still don't think it will happen.
Posted on 8/11/11 at 9:12 pm to e2drummer
Add A&M only. Eliminate divisions. Six permanent rivals. Top two duke it out in Atlanta.
Posted on 8/11/11 at 9:13 pm to TheCheshireHog
Seems to me Arky are the only ones really pissed about this lol
Posted on 8/11/11 at 9:15 pm to DowntheBayouTiger
We have the most history with them. Makes sense to me.

This, but if it does I think it will be A&M to the West (Houston TV market), and Maryland to the east (Baltimore/DC TV market)
All of this is about money
