@Andy_Staples Andy Staples Rep. Dan Branch said A&M officials have told him they won't be making final decision at Monday meeting. Will authorize pres to negotiate.

UGA would become irrelevant quickly in the SEC East if FSU comes in. FSU takes the place of UT and UGA each year in talks of an East Champion.

The hell they will. This is utter bull shite IMHO

I doubt that happens.

Much more likely to happen is what we all generally say about the SEC...if/when these 4 teams enter football in the SEC they will quickly learn of the murderers row that CURRENT sec teams already experience....

therefore, the SEC superiority would be cemented by the group of 4 initially struggling in the conference (in FOOTBALL) for probably 3-4 years...

remember when FSU went to the ACC? They won some crazy number of games to start in the conference...until the rest of the ACC finally caught up with them

they and the other 3 would experience the same thing, in reverse....Because the SEC is THAT good, right now

Does anybody know if the Aggies got an official SEC vote and invite last year?

Am I the only one who likes A&M?

I don't know that I like them, but I still like the idea of having them join, it would be fun having them around. Imagine what would happen with those "yell leaders" coming to LSU.

I've said it before, but the SEC wants to get to 16 teams as fast as it can. It's in the contract with ESPN that the SEC can tear up the current tv contract if it expands to 16 teams.

A new tv contract with 16 SEC members could go on the open market and command a fee nearly twice what the current contract pays.

Each SEC member in a 16 team conference could wind up with around $40 million a year.
