I think right now they could beat Tech and Baylor. I know that sounds crazy since Tech beat OU, but I think that was a fluke. JMO. If they make some improvements, a win over A&M is not out of the question.

So, just to get this straight, texas gets a train run on them by OU in a neutral site game, then tech goes and beats that same team IN norman, and texas is just going to up and beat tech, right?

And for the record, I refuse to talk to an aggie about this topic. They have an irrational hatred of all things related to Texas and cannot be reasoned with.

Showing all the class and aplomb of texas' AD, I see. The only things I hate are irrationality and ignorance, and unfortunately, you are loaded with both.

WTF are you talking about? I got to LSU. For the record, with how bad Texas was last year, what was the score of A&M and Texas game? Then what was the score for the LSU - A&M game?

FWIW Houston would beat Tech this year. Seen em both in person and was at the Game in Houston between them a few years ago. Houston is better than they were 2 years ago, and Tech is not as good as then.

Sure about that chief? All time records:

Texas A&M: 63 Baylor: 29

Texas: 71 Baylor: 23

Give you the latter 2, the first one I think would torch their horrible defense.

I was talking about since the Big 12 formed which is why I specifically said Big 12 South and not team from Texas.

all time their record is near dead even with Texas Tech and I'm sure they probably have a winning record against TCU.

Oh, in that case Texas and Texas A&M have identical records. 13-2. I'm neglecting A&M's win over them this year since Texas hasn't played them this year.

For the record, Sagarin says:
1) #6 A&M
2) #15 Tech
3a) #21 Gaylor
3b) #24 T-Sips
3c) #28 Houston
3d) #32 TCU
3e) #33 SMU
8) #71 UTEP
9) #90 Rice
10) #123 UNT

I'd say anyting between 3a through 3e is a tossup right now (as we've seen with TCU-SMU and TCU-Gaylor)

bah, for some reason I thought they had 3 wins vs texas since the Big 12 formed.

I must have added one of their early 90s wins in my head.

I do know they only have 19 total Big 12 wins.

so

A&M and texas = 2
OSU = 1
OU and Tech = 0

ouch

Yikes.

For the record. I'm no defender of Baylor or hater of A&M, I'm just trying to have a realistic discussion immune from emotions. This appears to be impossible.

ha, no I wasn't trying to fan more hate.

I just really did think Baylor had three wins.

I should have checked on College Football Data Warehouse before I made the claim.

I knew they had beat texas a few times in the 90s and just moved a win up a few years. Dumb on my part b/c Baylor football pretty much died when the conference formed.

Truthfully, isn't that what makes college football so great?

And I have never seen such a Texas apologist, they're own fans aren't as high on them as you are.

I don't feel like saying they will finish bowl eligible is being that high no them.

And like most people that choose to post on a message board, I think highly of my own opinions and will defend them to the death!

The records are certainly comparable, at any rate. And if Baylor does indeed defeat Texas this year A&M will always the bragging rights of having a better record against Baylor than Texas during Big 12 play. As well as beating them 3 out of the last 5 years.
