Thanks to Bohunk Ag @ TexAgs

This link contained emails obtained via open records request from the State of Georgia.

Baylor's President, Ken Starr, cites Orangebloods.com to university presidents as to why A&M should not be considered.

P.S. The original link has been taken down. The emails are all from Ken Starr to Michael F. Adams, UGA President, titled "Follow-up" ... Starr cuts and pastes an Orangebloods.com report, gives background on Texas Legislative hearings, and lobbies for the SEC not to take A&M and "Stop this Madness." The reports are full of misinformation and Starr looks smarmy and desperate.

After being fine with leaving TCU, SMU, and Uof H behind 15 years ago, Baylor simply doesn't want to wear a Sun Belt next year

Baylor should have known (and they probably did) that riding the coat tails of just about every other D1 school in Texas couldn't last forever.

I was sad to see the link get deleted. Definitely real. Definitely sad. It'll all come back out soon enough though I'm sure.

So who requested it be taken down?

Why?

And don't they understand that getting something off the internet is like getting pee out of a pool, and also the Streisand effect?

The guy that did the FOIA request deleted it after posting it. Not sure why, but sure it will re-emerge.

Baylor is clown school - why should anyone (in general) give a shite what they say about anything?

What exactly does Baylor bring to the table?

I live in Temple, Texas, home of future Bear Lache Seastrunk and only 30 miles South of Waco. We watch Waco media. For over a year the rant around here is that Baylor and Waco would would loose millions and millions of dollars and thousands and thousand of jobs if the Big 12 was to cease to exist or if Baylor was not in a BCS conference. The fact that A&M seems to be leaving seems to convince the "powers that be" that it will cause the ultimate end of Baylor's ride. What SEC fans are not aware of is the incredible stranglehold Baylor alums have over Texas politics. They have only begun to fight. As a native born Texan and a graduate of LSU, I have mixed emotions about TAMU and their move to the SEC. I am repulsed by the behind the scenes maneuvering of Baylor to "queer the deal". They never should have been asked to join the Big 12 to begin with. (TCU should have been). They do not belong in a BCS conference and finally they, as Baptist sponsored private school, they tend to wear said "stripes well. They are Hypocrites.

They also left Rice behind.

Yes, they are being extremely hypocritical.

Hopefully someone brought up Baylor's role and political backdealing during the Big 12's formation - particularly in response to Starr's USA Today OpEd.
