Who would Texas have to buy out?

quote:

BryanDFischer Bryan Fischer Texas non-conf: Wyoming/New Mexico/Ole Miss in '12, NMST/BYU/OM in '13, NTx/BYU/Ark in 14. Can't buy out one of those? Pft.

We've got:

UF-FSU
USC-Clemson
UK-Louisville
UGA-GT

UT-Vandy, Bama-Auburn, MSU-Ole Miss are already accounted for via conference games...LSU and Arkansas don't really have any in state rivals.

I think A&M is alone in having an in state rival who is a huge, gaping vagina. Its a little embarrassing.

just because Tulane sucks so fricking bad we cant take the SoS hit to play them, doesnt mean i dont want a horrific nuclear meltdown to happen directly on top of that shithole.

Its is a front. They will give in. Just like kU will if they try to refuse to play us.

Powers said A&M never told him whether it intended to sign with the Pac-10 or the SEC if the Big 12 collapsed.

"We are delighted that we're in a conference together. We weren't going to end the relationship with A&M, whatever they did," Powers said, hinting that Texas and A&M would continue to play each other even if they were in separate conferences.

so they didn't see any trouble keeping the game before but now they do?

These are their non-conference games for 2012, but they can't drop one of these to continue a rivalry dating back to 1894. I am guessing that they want the first two on LHN.

Sept. 1 WYOMING TBA
Sept. 8 NEW MEXICO TBA
Sept. 15 at Mississippi TBA

Time to move on, men.

Like Cortez burning ships upon reaching a new land, we have to focus totally on the SEC for now.

And then we'll whip those sips asses again starting in 2019.

As if you needed any more evidence of their bleeding vaginas:
"Our focus is on stuff before us now. We did not leave the conference."
quote:

He said he hopes and expects that the Big 12 will have a long, strong future now that TCU will replace A&M and league members have agreed to equal revenue-sharing for the league's prime football and men's basketball broadcast rights for six years. He sounded much less certain about the future of the Texas-Texas A&M rivalry, which dates to 1894. "We haven't attended to that," Powers said Wednesday. "Our focus is on stuff before us now. We did not leave the conference." The Texas president wants his school to continue playing football on Thanksgiving weekend, when it has traditionally played A&M. Asked if the opponent could be Notre Dame, which will face Texas in a four-game series starting in 2015, Powers called that school "a great institution" but said no decision has been made. "A lot of teams will be in the mix" as a possible holiday foe, he said.

Powers said Texas has been driven more by a desire to maintain a geographically cohesive, moderately sized league. "Our goal last year and this year was to keep the Big 12 together," he said. "Anybody that we talked to knew that."

At one time it seems like both Mississippi State and Ole Miss would play Southern Miss every year. Anybody know why the don't play anymore?

Because they would/did lose regularly.

Back when Arkansas'biggest rival was Ole Miss Frank Broyles stopped the game in the 60's in order for hog fans to concentrate on UT.

aggy and UT will play before 2018 in some bowl game. I don't see why aggy is upset. They wanted away from UT and now they are free. Sour grapes to me. I totally understand why UT refuses to juggle the schedule.

It isn't Sherman's style, so this is probably wishful thinking, but I pray to GOD that we run up the score on these baby shite orange wearing bitches on Thanksgiving day. I'm talking we're up by 40 in the 4th quarter and Tannehill's still airing it out to Fuller to make it 47. Maybe I'm classless for wanting that, but damn it, these cowards are an embarrassment of the highest order to the state of Texas and anyone else with whom they associate.

Yep. They bitched, complained, moaned, etc.

They are out from under the shadow.

Yet now, they are pissed because UT won't play them? Maybe this is UT saying "frick you, good luck against Moo State and Ole Piss, and don't let the door hit you on the way out."
