Keyword "expected"... they beat OU this week, and he's safe...

1. That card has already been played (last year) and 2. Beating Oklahoma didn't save Mack Brown

A win versus OU with how the rest of that schedule lays out could lead to a enough of a turnaround to save UT's season.

However, the defense and special teams look too broken as of now.

Wrong. Even if they beat OU, they still have to play WVU, KSU, Baylor, TTU, and TCU. None of those games are gimmies

The entertainment of Strong going on a run after this week would be fun to watch as UT alums actively root against each win.

I can dream.

I hope he quits now and sends them into even deeper turmoil.

They have no class at all.

i figured charlie would be safe at 8-4, but not with the lsu job opening up and herman sitting there in houston. i think they are looking for reasons to fire charlie and he's giving them plenty right now.

he may still keep it at 8-4, but not if he has two more losses giving up half a hundred.

Wishful thinking.

didnt take you too long to acclimate to their incessant pompous attitude during football season, did it?

Yep. Beating Oklahoma was his saving grace last year, so it likely won't be any sort of ace in the hole this year even if he does pull it out, especially considering that this Oklahoma team isn't that good.

I'd say they lose to OU, Kansas State, Baylor, and TCU and split Texas Tech and West Virginia to end at 5-7 again.
