Horrible offensive execution vs best opponents on schedule. Proved he could not win the big game. Clock mismanagement and confusion vs. Bama. Terrible game plan vs. UF. Team was undisciplined and acted like thugs before UF game. Team play uninspired in second half in said game. They were arrogant and unprepared. Reflection on second rate HC job by a guy with a losing record as a HC.

It's simple. We have lacked in offence for 10 years now, so we need an offensive coach. Not coach o who has to depend on his corndinators to make plays happen

I don't have Jcoryles number. But Ima get it and tell him how much a coach O would destroy our program

That's my promise to you

1- Time management vs Bama

2- Didn't force an offensive Plan B vs Bama

3- Didn't fire Peveto, the obvious worst coach on the team. Special teams cost the UF game as much as Guice did.

4- Abysmal player management during the UF game with LF and Guice.

These may not seem like enough strikes, but most were poor in-game decisions in our 2 most critical games under him. They cost us opportunities and potential momentum in both games. They were mistakes that made O look like he isn't ready to make the calls to consistently win big games. We just fired a guy for some of the same reasons. Why hire someone who has similar issues?

The OP is asking you folks for valid arguments against keeping Coach O in an effort to foster discussion on the topic. It's sad that so many of you are incapable of participating and instead want to label him as an O supporter just for asking the question. Kudos to those of you that gave answers on the topic as intended.

If O wanted to be HC again. He shoulda went down in ranks, got a DC job, worked his way back up. Or got a job at a small school and dine the same

He set a path to be a career DL coach, not LSUs problem.

You can make your plan to backdoor a great job like LSU

I answered right after OT. He is not HC material.

If I need to flow chart my arguments, then I'm talking to the wrong people.

I don't settle. I strive to be the best in everything I do. Why should our program not do the same? We should be excited over an interim coach that Syracuse passed over?

He had a chance vs UF and Bama to show what he could do. Even Chattanooga scored against Bama and we are far superior to UF but loss yet again at home and only managed 10 points.

He hasn't beaten any real good teams during his interim tenure here. These are games that any coach on the staff could've managed and won.

LSU looked against the only teams on the schedule

I will say this about coach O

Every game he coached this year the LSU Tigers looked fresh and ready to play. Each game the players played very hard. The only 2 games that were close were Florida and BAMA.

My take on BAMA is no one is going to beat BAMA this year and I think we played them well and defense was awesome. The offense had a poor showing and this same offense appeared against Florida.

My take on the Florida game is we dominated the game and lost the game due to errors, sloppy play and very poor formations and play calls on the last series. We reversed to LSU/Miles mentality on the last drive and pounded the ball up the middle. If coach O wins the Florida game I believe he is our coach and due to this loss IMO he will not be our new coach.

If Herman does not work out I would like to see Coach O hired and give Aranda a huge raise and also hire Lane Kiffen and pay him very well. We can get coach O cheap without a huge buyout and between these 3 coaches salaries we would be under what it would cost for Herman and his OC and DC

You would be one of the ones getting the kudos for participating. Wasn't addressing the participators. Go Cubs go.

My argument against Coach O is that the only argument FOR Orgeron is if he can keep Aranda and hire an elite OC. If Orgeron can only succeed is we have one of the best OCs and DCs in the country, then Orgeron isn't the guy

I'm Herman all the way, but this is argument makes the least sense out of anyone you can present. There isn't a championship coach out there that doesn't have excellent assistants college or pro. The first thing needed is talent second is coaching. Saban without Kiffy and winning two titles with the offense he was running. Herman without his defensive coordinator ain't beating Louisville. Pete Carrol at USC without Chow ain't wining shite.

And there isn't a championship coach out there that went 10-25 in his only permanent head coaching opportunity. Where was the leadership last week when the players needed it against Florida? Oh wait, it was the players fault, right? No, it was Ensminger's fault, right?
