Oregon had a chance to beat Auburn, what are you talking about?

Oregon had trouble running the ball but they passed over for 350.

No shite, huh? That guy had to recruit people to Oregon, and his coaching with Louisiana talent would be crazy. My only hesitation is on the defensive side. It seems like trading LSU gritty D for tremendous offense. However, I guess the argument could be made our d hasn't been too gritty lately.

Maybe, but we know Darron could complete a short pass. You know better than I he'd have to do that in Chip's O.

We're on the same side, keep doing work.

Alabama will eat Kelly's offense alive every time, it's a spread running attack based on speed to the edge and wide splits.

I don't get it. No way Chip would run the same offense as he did at Oregon,
He has already adapted his offense for the NFL.

LMAO at LSU fans pretending Chip Kelly would not be a grand slam.

It's a bitch with the timing on a pro coach. Michigan did almost everything right last year and still had NFL insiders and message board heros doubting Harbaugh until the very end. This board would go bonkers if a coach isn't signed for another six weeks. I'm sure people will say it would be worth the wait, but you never know if the thing is going to fall through and/or the guy gets a better offer elsewhere. It's extremely risky to go into January without your guy locked up.

Well the wheels were immediately set in motion once the 49rs became stupid enough to send Harbaugh out the door.

Right, but even with Harbaugh's termination imminent at least a month before the season was over, he had to play out the string and act like he was still into it (they must have to do this, otherwise you look like Petrino). Now, maybe Michigan truly did have things locked up behind the scenes, but the possibility remained (and media was making some reports to this effect) that he may end up with another NFL team. I guess what I'm getting at is that if Chip were immediately fired, you guys would be in perfect shape. To the extent he has to finish the season (and could make the playoffs), logistics are really difficult.

Problem is waiting until nfl is over. We can't wait that long. Unless we have him locked up.

Chip would take another NFL Job or USC before LSU. No way he ends up at LSU.

He probably signs with the Titans.
