I don't have any personal insight on this, but I would have to bet that if it did happen, it would happen soon.

I like Miles personally and don't think he will want to get himself and the university caught up in that stuff dragging out for weeks.

Like I said in my thread, I don't think Miles would turn it down this time either. If offered, of course.

Michigan must be willing to pony up some serious cash with the buyout they will have to pay from LSU and what I imagine his salary demands will be.

I thought we only had to make up the difference?

this sounds more like Miles' camp planting seeds to leverage an extension than Michigan putting out feelers

It's gonna be insane money for a 57 year old coach. Les thinks he has pressure now. Wait till he gets to Michigan and starts from scratch with spread offense personnel running the power I.

Cost to be a Michigan Man

I remember hearing this number was a lot higher. $1.25 Million to go to Michigan? I thought it was more like $5 million.

If Miles is offered any big time job he better bounce. The LSU fans are waiting for just one more 9 win season to fire him. He has zero job security at LSU and big time programs rarely hire a fired coach.

His "job security" issues are a result of continual bumbling and under/mis-utilization of talent. Having said that, he was one good OC/QB away from the BCSNC game this year.

I'd start a thread, but it would just get whacked (and this may too) ---- Miles is leaving...it's already a done deal and has been so for a couple of weeks now.

eta: there's quite a bit of detail involved, but I can't really go there. sorry.

If he leaves on his own, does Michigan owe us a buyout? I know we wouldn't owe him jack shite if he leaves on his own!

We'll have to revisit this thread in the near future.

Hmmm, I've seen you post this multiple times. What basis do you have for this.

If it's been a done deal, who the hell does LSU have lined up?

I personally don't think Miles should leave, but I wouldn't blame him at all if he did.
