Maybe it is just an ego thing. Fisher likes the idea of keeping Aranda, but, as accomplished as Fisher is, he doesn't like the idea of being TOLD to keep Aranda.
Hopefully, Joe and Jimbo can sit down over a decaf machiatto and work through it.
