Just here to tell you to STFU and L(log)TFO.

Coach O deserves a shot, lets give him a shot.

Coach O isn't a Offensive mastermind. If he gets us to 7-5, it will be well earned.

He didn't do well at ole miss, but they didnt have the talent then that they do now.

USC had talent. Kiffin just wasnt a leader.

Yes because nobody ever learns from mistakes and improves at their job.

64 yards of offense in the first half of Wisc. Yep, Miles had our offense firing on all cylinders!

I don't disagree. My plan would be to have 3 top choices, and if we can't get any of them and Orgeron somehow runs the table with the team or only loses 1 or 2, then I'd look at giving him another year as the head coach to see how he would do with a little less talent like we might have next year.

He is a great recruiter and a great defense of line coach. he has not proven to be even a good head coach, though. The change will undoubtedly spark LSU and they will play better for the rest of the season, but I don't see any scenario where O proves he is the right guy for LSU long term in eight or nine games. I would be uncomfortable with him as the permanent head coach.

It's going to be weird and there will be hard feelings if LSU wins out or goes seven and one, if Herman or Fisher want to come here. Hopefully the LSU admins would do the right thing and tell O thanks but no thanks.

what is frightening is all the down votes... for the most part this is spot on.. He is a terrific recruiter, lots of energy, but he is not a Head Coach nor should he be considered. I dont care if they run the table and miraculously make it to the playoff or even win it. He is not the long term solution. High energy all the time wears you out, its dicipline and sharp minds that continuously stay at the top in coaching

Ha no argument there. But not the point of my post. Miles wouldn't have gotten us 8 wins either.

Fair enough. I am willing to give CEO a chance to rely on those around him who are caught up with the times and can scheme and coach up in all facets of the game. Until he proves to me that he is unable to do this, then I think he's worth supporting.

Hell, we gave miles a decade being in the 100th percentile offensively and had success.

Coach O would have to do something amazing like get into the playoffs, but even then it would feel alot like the Mike Archer hire.

(yes, i am old)
