re: Herbstreit says the only call he'd make would be Tom Herman

I have to agree with Herbstreet on this one. While Jimbo would be a solid hire, I think we would be second fiddle to Bama with him. Herman could bring us to the recruiting level of Saban and I think his offense would give Bama hell to deal with. I don't think the rest of the SEC would really be very worried if LSU landed Fisher. But LSU with a wide open offense orchestrated by a competent, energetic, young coach is another story.

frick Herbstreit ... that’s brilliant, all he can offer is what everyone else knows, i.e., Tom Herman, give me a fricking break, frick off Herbstreit, you’re the reason we’re at this point today instead firing Miles last year. frick off

you don't win with a pro style offense unless you win in the trenches. You don't win in the trenches unless you have superior talent in the trenches. Are we going to have superior talent in the trenches with Fisher than what Fisher had at Florida St? Seems Florida and Alabama produce and recruit more of the big guys than Louisiana does, especially o-lineman.

Well you're gonna have to make more calls after Herman turns you down.
