I have to agree with Herbstreet on this one. While Jimbo would be a solid hire, I think we would be second fiddle to Bama with him. Herman could bring us to the recruiting level of Saban and I think his offense would give Bama hell to deal with. I don't think the rest of the SEC would really be very worried if LSU landed Fisher. But LSU with a wide open offense orchestrated by a competent, energetic, young coach is another story.

you don't win with a pro style offense unless you win in the trenches. You don't win in the trenches unless you have superior talent in the trenches. Are we going to have superior talent in the trenches with Fisher than what Fisher had at Florida St? Seems Florida and Alabama produce and recruit more of the big guys than Louisiana does, especially o-lineman.
