Dabo would’ve been better, IMO.

Why the hell does one playoff win mean your the best guy for the job? If you go by that logic, then they should’ve just gone ahead and hired Sonny Dykes from TCU. But oh yeah, he’s not the hot item right now because they were nowhere to be found this year.

His recruiting record along for sure disqualifies him from being an "amazing hire".

Solid to great hire, I think so.

He's really got to prove he can recruit against the absolute best in the SEC.

Cute list. Nothing like cherry-picking successful coaches. Now do Tom Herman, Billy Napier, Jim McElwain, Kevin Sumlin...

Harsin was a lazy POS and didn't even go undefeated with Boise State in far worse conference

Harsin was worse every year he was gifted a BCS bowl winning team.

He was underperformed and was a panic hire from Auburn.

No one is shitting on him for coaching NAIA. Alabama fans won’t shut the frick up about his 114-7 record that’s bolstered by his NAIA stint from 2005-2009 while they ignore the legitimate concerns about him like his terrible recruiting track record and lack of time spent consecutively at the same D1 program. Ed Orgeron put the greatest team ever together with a Heisman QB, how much does Penix have to do with DeBoer’s success over the past 2 years?
This basically sums it all up.

What Bama fans, and many outsiders enamored with what Saban made Bama into, don't seem to grasp, is that recruiting will drop. Recruiting won't just dip, it will drop. Once Bama doesn't have consecutive top 5 classes, you'll see the major drop off in their overwhelming stranglehold on talent when facing other teams. The bully is dead and buried.
