It wont be popular, but it's the right hire imo.

Also, pretty much puts to rest any notion that Miles "wasn't actually offered" or "wanted" or whatever.
They pushed for Miles... didn't get him. Hoke was next on the list.

Not a SINGLE mention of Miles.

Well that didn't take long

"Don't you want to hear the terms?"

sorry.
I hope he works out. But my fear is that Michigan's insistence on hiring a guy who is a Michigan product is way too close a parallel to GM, Chrysler and Ford only promoting CEOs who spent their lives working for the company. Inbreeding eventually makes the gene pool really shallow.

An old team mate giving a courtesy interview. If they were serious, a face to face interview clarified the "lack of a want" on Michigan's part.

Miles was so heartbroken that he, his agent and wife went out to Voodoo BBQ.

Completely agree with this. Is it nice that he "gets" Michigan? Ya I suppose, but you could also hand someone a book of our traditions and rivalries, tell them to read it enough times, and they would "get" Michigan as well. It's not rocket science and quite frankly it's not like we are the only school with them.
I really just can't believe that out of all the coaches out there this is the best we could come up with.
