a lot of NELA folks would like them to seriously consider Mickey McCarty from Neville. They really don't have much to lose at this point

ULM should take a long look at Southern Miss OC Chip Lindsey. Not to long ago he was the head coach at Spain Park HS in Birmingham.

I've heard a lot of people mentioning this. Although highly unlikely it happens, I don't think it would be that crazy of an idea.

One guy getting an interview that has a pretty bad stigma is Jay Hopson from Alcorn. He has to overcome the SWAC stigma, but has done an awesome job at Alcorn. If he was a HC at Central Arkansas or Stephen F. Austin he'd be getting serious looks.

Fitzhugh is a good coach, but he is no McCarty. Not to mention he coaches in the smallest classification in the state. No offense to the guy he's done a great job at OCS. There's just no way he could succeed at the college level. Eventhough he does get to recruit at OCS.
