We should find out more today. It's a terrible hire IMO

Looking on Twitter it seems like viator is a done deal

Long Term?
I seriously doubt it would cost more to move down. They can still schedule the Nebraskas and Auburns.
Actually, it would end up costing ULM like $3million more. Somebody did the math in one of the threads, and after you account for loss of media revenue, increased costs for FCS playoffs, decreased payout for money games (FCS teams get a lower rate), loss of CFB playoff and bowl money (SBC still gets a % even though they don't have a team in) and the costs of adjusting the other sports scholarships to balance titleIX it actually would cost more. There is a reason why GSU, App State, Texas State, and Coastal Carolina all moved up to the Sun Belt in the last few seasons. ULM just needs to get an independent athletic fund (i.e. RCAF) and commit to paying atleast as much as the SBC average.
Disclaimer: Source is another poster doing the math and therefore it could be bs. Just passing on what I have read.
ETA: Viator is a decent hire for ULM. More of the same ole same ole. Expect a bowl once every 20 years. Oh well.

Not to worry. Just like his predecessors, they'll be measuring him for his body bag to be used in about four years. The only way you win there on a consistent basis is to go back to FCS (I-AA).
