If Saban didn't show up for his visit at Fournette's school, either the LSUrb or the SECrb would have it. Let's be real on that.
I don't know about that. I'm not sure how long in advance the schools are notified of coach visits.. I really don't know how this stuff works though

I do know that if he had showed up at the school someone would have mentioned it, because it's not often the best coach in college football shows up at your school. I'm not seeing it though.

Not as a whole but there's some pretty powerful people in it no? At least that's what Bama fans have been telling us for years.

Maybe Saban gave up on him since his tweet yesterday about Bama fans having 3 teeth (basically) Hand signal was used.

he RT's everything that has that hand gesture in it. From LSU fans and Bama fans.

What is scary is Saban has said NOTHING on this subject.
My dad told ne that when he gets quiet, he's got something going on. I told him he was nuts. The next few days later, he took the bama job.

I can bet that Fournette's school is used to having college coaches swing by.

Schools are notified well in advance. Saban doesn't just drop by on his way to Taco Bell down the street.

I think he works with them, but that he runs his program his way. JMO. I don't think the REC is some all-powerful Illuminati type group though. I just don't buy into that

Most coaches run the program the way they want to. The outside influences aren't as big of a deal as the fans think. And if Texas really wants Nick they'll offer him whatever he wants.

People really need to think about this situation clearly.

First off, even if Mack is stepping down, he'll be doing so at the team's banquet on Friday. I seriously doubt Saban, as shady as he can be, is going to let on that he's been hired away until then and give Brown his due respect as a colleague.

In the end, it could be Saban driving up the price, but until Mack is officially announced as retiring either himself or by UT, you will not hear anything else official about Saban.

Is it sleazy if Saban stays? Yes, but it's become the norm to extort money from the schools. Look at Miles last year. Look at many other coaches. They simply aren't going to take away any leverage to get themselves more money, even though it may be sleazy.

Hmm. Guy from 247 says Saban is scheduled to be meeting with Tony Brown in Beaumont right now. Tony Brown barely tweets though.

Nick Saban is in TX today...just not Austin. Meets w/ 5-star CB Tony Brown in about 10 minutes. LINK

If Saban went away from his scheduled recruiting trail, it'd be noted and all over the place.

One of the only things you can take to the bank is that he has been recruiting hard these past two days. Its one of the only facts in this whole debacle.

Crutchfield posted on FB that Saban was in his office around 10 this morning.

I'm in the Nick is staying camp. At least until someone tells me otherwise. However, if Nick is working his tail off recruiting amid mountains of stories predicting he's going to TX, doesn't that affect recruiting? Would a kid ask if he was going to be his coach for the next 4 years? And, wouldn't some recruits be concerned about who might be the coach? So, if there are no negotiations going on, then why wouldn't Nicky and the AD say this is a bunch of BS? I think there is negotiating going on, but it might not be with TX. It might just be with AL for all we know.

I'm not denying that. It's just that there was a supposed meeting with Patterson at some point today so I've been trying to piece together Saban's trail

I like him already. Not quite ready to name a street after him or anything, but knowing nothing else about him, this low level of twitter activity should put him in the running for defensive captain - immediately.

Recruits HAVE asked. And Saban has told them he will be the Bama coach. Thats well documented.

Saban has NOT met with the Texas AD today. I'm confident at putting that at 100% as well.

Yep. That is my sole reason for believing he isn't going anywhere.
