Hmm. Guy from 247 says Saban is scheduled to be meeting with Tony Brown in Beaumont right now. Tony Brown barely tweets though.

Beaumont, Texas star Tony Brown received a visit from Saban and Alabama assistant Burton Burns on Wednesday afternoon,

Not as a whole but there's some pretty powerful people in it no? At least that's what Bama fans have been telling us for years.

Nah, Auburn fans have been telling y'all that for years.

We just play along.

Yeah, we know. The fan base with the most psycho incidents on record is just grossly misunderstood.

Yep. That is my sole reason for believing he isn't going anywhere.

Perhaps you didn't know this but coaches lie.

Don't know why everyone is excited about this.
It sounds like every school is going to have to
re-up their own coaches after this new Saban
market correction.

The A Club is probably more exclusive than the REC.

Has Kaptain's post been posted yet?

So I just heard from a good friend of mine who talked to someone with ties to the board of trustees (I know right?) but it's a source I trust, whether you do or not is up to you, just more info to throw around.

/start info

Saban is pissed. When mal was alive, he treated saban like a friend. Let him know he was appreciated. Handled contract extensions like 2 guys sitting down talking business over a beer. Saban liked that chemistry.

Bill battle basically sent his latest contract extension up to his office, dropped it on his desk, and said "sign it". Supposedly this has been the demeanor since battle got there. Nick got used to basically just saying what he wanted and it got done. Period. Battle doesn't seem to be handling things in the same fashion.

Mrs Terry's comments about lack of appreciation the other day? Not about the fans. She was talking about the administration.

That settles it! Shut down the board. Let's go home.

I wonder how much work productivity has been lost from the millions of fans that want Saban to leave Alabama?

If Saban went away from his scheduled recruiting trail, it'd be noted and all over the place.

One of the only things you can take to the bank is that he has been recruiting hard these past two days. Its one of the only facts in this whole debacle.

The cynic would conclude that this is the smart course of action if you are going to leave your present job though. This keeps you away from the reporters and your own AD bugging you about whether or not your staying or going. Then again the dead period starts in a few days so I guess you got to be out recruiting right now.

Asked about the status of extension talks, Battle repeated: "The Sugar Bowl is where his efforts are and that's where mine are."

Saban knows this is a business.
Battle was a former coach and I would
be shocked if he treated Nick with disrespect.
