How many people see Les taking the Michigan job?

If Miles is offered the job, he would be offered 6 million, that would be 2 million less than what JH was offered.
Why take a lateral career move at 61 as a plan B coach who would make less than what the plan A cosch was offered.

Not happening! The "L" in Les, stands for LSU.

I'm 50/50 on Miles taking it. I am 100% sure Harbaugh won't take it.
The issue is going to be IF the Michigan folks will offer the job to Miles or not. Miles is not as valued of a commodity as he used to be. He hasn't recovered from 1-9-12 at all. The record speaks for itself:
2011: 11-1
2012: 10-3 (3 conference losses)
2013: 10-3 (3 conference losses)
2014: 8-4 with a bowl game remaining. (4 conference losses)
The rest of the SEC West is getting better since the end of the 2011 campaign while LSU is declining. Fingers are crossed that the next season will turn things around and manage to beat the conference opponents that we are currently losing to.

I know u love stats and numbers so I have a question. If in the next two years LSU has a better record than 2014 will you declare that LSU is on the incline? Because W's and L's is the only thing that matters right?

If you're the AD at Michigan or any other school for that matter, do you offer a guy 6 to 8M a year after a four and potentially five loss season that had his team finish second to last in his own division? The answer is that no one with any common sense does this. The stats do not lie.
While I personally think we kick the shite out of Notre Dame next Tuesday, the possibility exists that we could lose. This would mean a five loss season. Again, the stats do not lie.

Second to last in the SECW = 1st in the Big10

I guess we'll know if they come out and lay an egg against ND.

I have always felt that Miles goes. I believe Manny committed secretly to the Michigan baseball team. In my mind Miles has tried to stay focused with the bowl game and then on the 31st or after the first of the year he bolts to Michigan. He is a family man and I really feel he would like to share this experience with his son.
And I believe that LSU might already have their replacement in place.
With all that being said, I'm probably wrong.

It is this scenario that I wonder about. Minus the nugget about Manny.
Harbaugh is a tough get. All this "Miles wouldn't stand being their second choice" is crap. If he is offered, he may take it. I hope LSU and Alleva understand this and has a contingency plan.

The only way Miles goes to Michigan is if they offer him the same deal as Harbaugh. Michigan has painted themselves into a corner if Harbaugh turns them down. They are screwed. They will have to settle for a mid major guy wanting a big raise or a coordinator. Les making $4+M is not going for less than the $8M promised Harbaugh. A mid major guy making $1M might go for $3M or so.

If Harbaugh falls through, could get real, yo...

If Harbaugh rejects I would think UM offers Miles around 5.5 to 6 range.
