Do not get so wound up in this "Les to Michigan!" talk that you start setting your sights on a new coach.

It's exciting to think about the possible scenarios - particularly because LSU is one of the top 5 jobs in the country, IMO...

BUT... You don't want to set yourself up to be disappointed if Les ends up not taking the Michigan job. He is a good coach.

You need to be careful fricker. Your brother is liable to be might angry when Nick leaves.

Liable to treat you like his goat.

Hell, best case scenario: Les stays. Granted that's my opinion, but I just don't think there's anyone available better for our program right now.

I think the majority of people want him to stay.

You're just worried that we'll find a better coach than Saban.

We already have a better coach than Saban.

There's not one... alive, anyway. I have no motive. Just passing on words of wisdom from a Bama fan who's gone through my share of coaching searches and disappointing coaching search outcomes.

Your concern is duly noted.

IMO Les is leaving. So, I can't be careful because it isn't my decision.

furthermore, I want him to stay. I just don't want to spend the next week looking for a coach and start losing recruits.

that's not quite the best case scenario, but it's so far up the list, and the likelihood of better cases are so low, that we might as well hope for that one.

I really hope numerous coaches have already been contacted and plans are in the works. Once Les announces he's leaving a press conference is held the following day to announce the new head coach.

But planning ahead and LSU dont seem to go together.

Let's face it. Michigan is a step down from LSU.

I understand he wants to go back to his alum, but I think he is going to fail without the recruits he gets at LSU.
