Agreed. I am 80 pages from finishing my second reading of SoS, holy shite. Best book I have ever read.

I don't care for Victarion either. I hope he an the Crow's Eye get burned to ash. No drowning or watery graves for them.

As far as the Stark children's chance of survival, I'll rank them:

1) Rickon (has to continue the Stark line)
2) Bran
3) Sansa
4) Jon
5) Arya (Just have a feeling she'll die in the final chapters of the last book)

Agreed on your list, though I'm of course hoping we're wrong on Arya.

Just finished watching "The Princess Bride", and noticed the duel between Montonya and the 6 Fingered Man is kinda similar to The Red Viper vs the Mountain, although it is somewhat the inverse of it. Do you think he took inspiration for that fight. That's really how I think of Dornishmen mostly as Spaniards anyway.

New Crackpipe Topic:

How do you want Arya's story to end?

How does her story arc converge with all the other major plot lines that seem to be coming together?

My Arya Story Arc:

In the end, Arya fills Maggy's prophesy and kills Cercei as the Valonqar. Cercei will have buried all of her children; The Rock will be lost to her; and Jamie will be gone for good. Arya will then be there to give her the gift. Of course, she will no longer look like Arya at this time.

Her story arc will first take her through King's Landing where she gives the gift to those left in her prayers, and to others that pay for the services of the faceless men.

She will also come close to crossing paths with Starks from time to time, but will never actually know them as Arya again.

Never thought about Arya being the Valaonqar, but isn't the Valonqar specified to be male?

Yeah, it means little brother. So unless Arya is changing sexes with magic, not happening don't think. Personally I think Arya will come back to the fold eventually, just the whole speech Ned gave to her in book 1, but who knows.

Those archery skills that they revealed to us in GoT lead me to believe Arya is going to kill something with a bow, I'm leaning to a dragon using a weir wood arrow. She will be a bad arse assassin type similar to blood raven in the dunk and egg books.

I am still really stumped how they're going to bring her back in to the mix since she's incredibly isolated from the rest of the story now. Yeah, she'll be some sort of assassin, but who she is sent to kill is going to be the interesting part.

Maybe Cersei finds out where Tyrion is and hires a Faceless man to kill him? Or maybe someone hires a faceless man to take out Lady Stoneheart? Or maybe when Sansa is unmasked, Cersei then sends a faceless man after her. Those are really the only 3 I can come up with on the top of my head.

She will come with Justin Massey's hired host for Stannis.

Last we saw she was going off on an assignment, I'm sure that will wind up with her heading towards Westeros some how. I don't think we'll get far enough along for Arya to become a full fledged faceless man. That would take some serious time passing.

I'd say that's pretty likely.

It would be kinda cool if the real Arya Stark actually killed Ramsay Bolton. Then again, I'm really hoping for a death by the Others for him.

Ehh, I don't really want Stannis to be the one to deal with Ramsay. I'm hoping he takes over the Wall just in time for the Others to overtake him. I feel pretty confident in saying that Ramsay won't live to the 7th novel.

I honestly doubt he will be around past the beginning of TWOW. The Boltons are small in the grand scheme of things.

Agreed, but I'm thinking he'll become an even more rabbid dog across the North causing death a misery wherever he goes. The fact that he no longer has the fake Arya Stark is going to be a huge detriment to his power. I think Jon Snow will encounter him, but I too see no place for him in ADOS.

I think a main theme of the next book will be a sense of normalcy or such throughout the north and south when Stannis and Aegon firmly gain control in both areas, for that to fade pretty damn quick when thousands of wights and others to crash over the wall.
