This is sort of aout of left field, but last night I was reading a Sansa chapter in Game of Thrones.
She was looking at Janos Slynt shortly after he helped betray her father. As you will recall, Slynt also pushed Eddard's head down onto the chopping block.
This is what Sansa thought:
I love how Jon did EXACTLY that in ADWD.

Sansa stared hard at his ugly face, remembering how he had thrown down her father for Ser Ilyn to behead, wishing she could hurt him, wishing that some hero would throw him down and cut off his head.

I think Euron might be the Dusky Woman as fricked up as that sounds. Remember he was learning shite from the warlocks he captured.

I think a main theme of the next book will be a sense of normalcy or such throughout the north and south when Stannis and Aegon firmly gain control in both areas, for that to fade pretty damn quick when thousands of wights and others to crash over the wall.
I agree actually. I think the book will end with King's Landing under siege again, Dany's army arriving in Dorne, and the fall of the Wall, with perhaps Cersei on the run.

I think the Sand Snake on the council will convince Cersei to let in the Dornish army to help fend off the Golden Company and they will in turn raid King's Landing. Cersei flees but not after Tommen is killed. Poetic justice for Tywin and the Targaryens/Elia.

God, I hated Slynt with a passion. My least favorite character next to Joffrey. He was such a cowardly little bitch and went out like one too.

I have a feeling that the goings on in Oldtown will take center stage this next book.
It is one of the largest cities in the seven kingdoms and it hasn't been talkesd about much... besides Sam, a sand snake, and some crazy maester wizards are there.

That's possible, but I'm not sure if Cersei would fall for that when that's exactly what her father did to sack King's Landing. Cersei's not as sharp as she thinks she is, but I think she'll certainly not fall for something identical her father did. More likely Varys and his Little Birds find a way to open the gates, and that lets Aegon in.

Cersei won't trust anything from Dorne considering what happened to Myrcella when she was under the care of Doran Martell.

Either way I think Dorne claims the Irone Throne for Aegon and they will murder Tommen.

I will be pissed if Aegon is on the Iron Throne at the very end of the series since he came right the hell out of nowhere.

No way he lives IMO. You know how Martin is with characters that have meteoric rises.
I agree, it would be bullshite. The whole Aegon subplot is annoying in my opinion. I feel like Martin read a theory in a thread not different from this one and was like "oh, that's cool, I'm putting it in ADWD"

The irony here is that in the early readings for that chapter in ADWD Martin had Jon hanging Slynt from the top of the wall, and he changed it at the very end to Jon beheading him for publication.
It was a good move though I think, as the beheading is much more a Stark thing to do.

It's cool how even though Ned Stark has been dead for 4 books his memory and teachings continue to influence multiple characters and the entire story as a whole.

Hell look at the influence Rhaegar Targaryen still has over the realm. How many times has he been tied into the current story, what has happened, and what may come to pass?
I love the incorporation of characters past.

Good point. In truth this whole series is just the product of events that occurred during Robert's Rebellion
