But nothing has changed within the laws and people are having more kids out of wedlock than ever.
Children out of wedlock is the worst outcome and basically the most consequential outcome to the institution of marriage. Marriage means nothing without kids, it's more or less a tax break.

Date women and if they get out of line you just show them the door, and it doesn't cost a dime.

I seem to have read marriages are up and divorces down since Covid.
Anecdotally, all of my nieces and nephews seem to be getting married in their mid 20s. Too young IMO but it’s been the family trend. Like they’re all racing each other.

Also, two things can simultaneously be true here: the decline of marriage is bad for the country, but marriage and divorce laws are bad for men and they’re rebelling against it.
