What is your most unpopular political opinion? And why.

I’ll start.
Unpopular Opinion
I don’t believe in term limits for elected officials.
Why?
They will be purchased on the way in and owned the whole time they’re in there, with all the other ppl owned by the same interests leaving behind the crap policies that our Big Biz/Big Tech/Big Gvt overlords would like to see.
The only people who should be term limited in the federal government are members of the executive branch. I’m fine with 10 yrs. Those are the real evildoers. And those are the people who need to agree to a 10 year ban against lobbying or employment within the industry they regulate. Those frickers can’t get fired - we may as well make sure they turn over every once in a while.

Unpopular opinion: We have a minimum age limit to be president. We should have a maximum age limit too or a cognitive test that has to be passed.
Why? Joe Biden is an example as to why. I know this would disqualify Trump from running but if it would prevent a President like Biden, I am all for it.

Opinion in charge of who can be on the ballot.

I wish women could induce abortions merely by clicking their heels. 'tis an ugly process, but... I do NOT CARE if women choose to abort. Them fetuses have a heartbeat, but it is a part of the woman's body. Her choice, at that point.
Pisses me off that Dems continue to rely on this issue. If females could merely click their heels, the Democrats would lose soooo much power.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't think Republicans (Ron at the fore) should be soft on the massive electoral fraud in '20 and run on 'policy'.

I think the US Senate should be chosen by each state's legislatures, not voted on by popular vote.
Why?
This is how the founders indented it to be. The PEOPLE are represented by their HOUSE members. That STATE also needs representation of its own as well.
We need to repeal the 17th Amendment.

Could not agree more wholeheartedly. Senators are supposed to represent the STATES themselves as individual entities - the House of Representatives represent the citizens of the states.
Woodrow Wilson wrecked the foundation of this country. The 17th amendment wrecked federalism entirely and is how we wound up with power centralized in DC.

I don't think Trump should run but should back whoever is running
Why?
He's unelectable... I don't care about his rallies... the polls... whatever... come election time... people will vote against him rather than for him. Also.. most Trump supporters are gigantic pussies who can't even bear hearing the slightest criticism of their "god".
That being said, if he's the nominee, he gets my vote as many times as I can get away with voting for him.

Repeal the 17th Amendment and I agree with you on the HoR not having term limits.
Unpopular Opinion:
The death penalty should be eliminated.
Why?
Prison should be infinitely more difficult but if one innocent man has been killed on death row, it should be abolished.
