I just enjoy changing my own oil.. I can look over some of the other parts of my car to see if they need any maintenance. I think with a premium filter and synthetic oil I am looking at around $30 for an oil change if I do it myself. ...

My kid took it in 5th grade as part of the Duke TIP program and will take it again in 6th grade. The only advantage is being familiar with that type of test taking. The drawback is that it could hurt self esteem if they fail terribly. It's only $42 to take the test if I remember correctly....
