Any ideas for something not too humiliating?
Don't want to lose folks from the league if we set up something too onerous.

I understand the theory behind the punishments, but I'm not really in favor of any of them, no matter how 'harmless'. Maybe I'm just an old curmudgeon, but a pink license plate or the Waffle House challenge is just dumb.

We used to do them but it faded away. Tough to enforce unless you're serious about kicking people from the league for not doing it. And if there's really good friends you don't want to kick, then eventually people will stop doing the punishments because there's no consequence for not doing it. Then it creates animosity from those that DID do a punishment, then see future losers refuse to pay the piper.

Unless you're a really close group with thick skin, "punishments" could be taken the wrong way by some. I'm more into "incentives" (cash, recognition, trophy?) than disincentives for the leagues I run.

We do prizes for both. Last year, 1st place was given a trophy he had to take, while 12th place was given a chest-hair tie he had to wear to work 1 day.

We did it one year in Votto is a Catcher League. I can't remember the specifics but I think it was something like everyone pays $65 for the league fee and if you come in last place you don't get your $15 last place fee. Everyone was refunded $15 at the end of the season. In the end $15 was too little money to make a difference.

I read somewhere that in one league the last place finisher had to take the ACT test. I think that is funny and harmless.

I took the ACT for losing a league the year before last. Drank a couple beers before going, got a few wtf looks from teachers lol

We used to have a requirement to buy the beer for following year’s draft. Everyone would get something cheap.
In about 2018, I had been drinking variety of mixed drinks at friend’s camp in Toledo Bend for draft. Then realized nobody was drinking the Natty Lights. Put a couple in freezer for 15 minutes and they were on point with ice crystals. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
We need to start enforcing that rule again. I haven’t had a Natty Lite since then.

We have a crinkled Bush 16 oz beer can mounted with a nail on a 4" piece of landscape timber. The reason is this is our "Beer Bitch" for the next year's draft. Each year, the new beer bitch gets his name written on the 4" timber. The loser also has to keep the beer bitch trophy displayed in a prominent area of his living room until the next poor soul "wins" the rights to it.
During the draft, anytime anyone needs a beer, you just say "Hey Beer Bitch, catch me a beer". The beer bitch also has to buy the beer that he has to hand out to each other team member.

In my family league, the worst team has to sport this on his/her vehicle until the end of the following season.

We just have to bring the beer for the next draft. Of course people are there to take our picture. By our I don’t mean me personally.
